Can guests order from their phone with DineBook?

Yes. Every table gets a QR code. Guests scan it, browse your live menu, and order from their phone. Tickets go straight to the Kitchen Display, and everyone at the table shares one bill they can split and pay by M-Pesa or card.

Does DineBook replace my POS?

DineBook covers front of house end to end: reservations, the floor, menu, ordering, the kitchen display, bills and payments. It also runs alongside an existing POS, with settings for manual entry or a connected provider.

Enable Guest Tipping on Digital Bills

Configure tipping under Dashboard > Customize > Staff Tipping. Offer quick-pick percentage buttons (such as 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%) or custom percentages. Guests can easily reward their servers directly from the BillShare screen.

Manage Tip-Eligible Servers with PIN Gates

Maintain your floor server roster under Dashboard > Customize > Staff Tipping. To ensure unauthorized staff cannot add or remove names on shared floor devices, modifying the roster requires entering your manager PIN. The roster is viewable by all, but edits are gated.

Track Tip Totals in the Tips Ledger

View accumulated tips per server and date in Dashboard > Tips. Keep track of daily totals, average tip rates, and mark tips as paid with Manager PIN confirmation when distributing payouts to your team.

Secure Shared Tablets with Admin Controls

Activate Admin Controls under Dashboard > Settings > Admin Controls. High-stakes actions like changing payout accounts, altering deposit rules, updating loyalty rates, and issuing refunds require your 4 to 8 digit manager PIN. Store your single-use backup code safely for emergency recovery.
